How is the picture taken?
After a contraction, you feel like this is the moment and no amount of water can wash away the pain. It's time to call me. It's best if you call me from home, because I can not only capture the first moments of the birth, but also support you until you get to the hospital. I have been involved in over 400 births and I know how important it is to have someone nearby who can not only support you, but also understand what is happening.
And it doesn't matter when your baby decides to come into the world, in the morning, afternoon or night. Neither the time nor the length of labour matters. I will be there for as long as it takes. My main role is not to interfere with the process, but to help you enjoy it and preserve those beautiful moments of wonder that pierce the air at the moment of birth. I will be there when you need me and I will leave the delivery room when you want to be alone. Being a birth photographer is not about taking pictures, it is about preserving the most intimate things. And I don't have to take pictures of you all the time. In terms of time, I will be with the camera for about 15 minutes at the beginning to shoot the background, 15 minutes during the birth process and about an hour when the room is filled with happiness to capture the first look, the first touch, the first kiss, the first breastfeeding, the first measurements... mum's hugs... and the happiness in dad's eyes.
Will there be a stranger at the birth?
I am the same person as the nurse or doctor. A person without gender or prejudice. A person who knows what is happening, who understands the seriousness of each stage. A person who does not see pain and blood, but the touch of a new soul.
How do I book?
The best time to book is 30-32 weeks after your expected due date. During this time we will have the opportunity to meet in person if you wish. And during this time, I can definitely guarantee you a month's availability, as I can't photograph every birth in the world. If your baby suddenly decides to be born earlier or later, the shoot will still take place as it is very rare for labour to start on the same day. Therefore, I will be in contact with you from the moment of booking, waiting for the arrival of the baby. The booking is confirmed once the $100 deposit has been received.
